Apple Oatmeal Bake

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp ginger

  • ½ tsp nutmeg

  • ½ tsp cardamom

  • ¼ tsp all spice

  • 1 tbsp flaxseed meal

  • 1/3  cup coconut sugar

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 ½ cups MH milk

  • 1 egg room temp

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp MH butter, melted

  • 1 large apple diced

PREPARATION

  1. Combine all the above ingredients in one bowl (except the apples).

  2. Dice the apple and layer on the bottom of the greased baking pan (8 x 10).

  3. Pour the oatmeal mixture over the apples.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes until solid, not loose and until it has a little crunch on top.

  5. Serving suggestions (serve warm or room temp):

  • Enjoy it as is 

  • Enjoy in a bowl soaked in Maple Hill Milk, then topped with a nut butter, a drizzle of Maple Syrup, and diced uncooked apples for a little crunch
